Second Chance Cat Rescue
Second Chance Cat Rescue is a new venture by a group of seven dedicated women who have years of experience rescuing and caring for cats. We are based around Biggar in South Lanarkshire (Scotland) where we have three large cat enclosures with sunny grass runs and warm, comfortable sleeping quarters for cats awaiting adoption. Others are taken in to our homes where they live with us until we can find them a new home of their own.Four members of the group dedicate their time solely to fostering rescued Kittens in their homes. This provides the best possible start to life with a new family.
Our Aims
We aim to provide a safe place for stray or unwanted cats and kittens. We will give them all the care they need, including veterinary care, until a suitable new home can be found.
Adoption
All adults cats are neutered, vaccinated, wormed and micro chipped before going to a new home.
We do not home cats or kittens to indoor-only homes unless recommended by a vet, as in the case of F.I.V. Positive cats.
We always visit prospective owners at home before they come to meet the cat/kitten.
There is no set charge for a cat/kitten, but a donation will enable us to continue the work of helping cats.
